You will receive this warranty at the time of purchase as well as when you close on your new CastleRock home. We want you to understand the coverages and the steps necessary to obtain the appropriate service when necessary.

CastleRock offers an industry-leading warranty that encompasses 2-year and 10-year coverage for many of the vital components of your new home. You will receive this warranty at the time of purchase as well as when you close on your new CastleRock home. We want you to understand the coverages and the steps necessary to obtain the appropriate service when necessary.
CastleRock uses many nationally recognized manufacturers for the components that make up its custom homes. For example, Delta, G.E. Appliances, Owens-Corning, Shaw, Mohawk, Dal-Tile, ACME Brick, Hanson Brick, Boral Bricks, Wilsonart, 3-D, Kwikset, Volume Lighting, James Hardie, Cemplank, and Trane are just a few of the names you may recognize who could have their products in your CastleRock Home. Manufacturer warranties may extend beyond your Castle Rock warranty on many of these products or their components.

Settlement is normal in a new home. As this occurs, hairline cracks may form in walls, ceilings and especially in corners. This is to be expected and the hairline cracks maybe filled with a variety of products manufactured for this purpose. Hairline cracks caused by settlement are not the result of construction defects.
You may hear some noise when walking on the 2nd story floor in a two-story home. This is a characteristic of multi-level homes and should be expected.
Your home can have different kinds of flooring surfaces like wood, carpeting, stained concrete and ceramic tile. These materials can be damaged fairly easily. Please check your floors carefully during your Orientation Walk. Be careful not to drop or drag sharp objects or liquids that can stain them.
Coupon Booklet is provided and allows you to redeem touch paint kit. This enables you to address those minor move-in nicks, scratches, and on-going touch-ups which are not covered under your warranty.
Marble, laminate and granite countertops may show some markings from the manufacturing process. However, they must be protected from sharp objects, heat and abrasives. Also, take care not to allow water to stand on countertop seams as this will cause damage.
As time passes, caulk will shrink and crack. This is normal and is best addressed by re-caulking interior and exterior areas regularly, especially "wet" areas (tubs, showers, etc.).
Your sod, trees and shrubs need your care and attention to flourish and enhance your home. Once installed, landscaping is not a warrantable item. The maintenance of established drainage pathways is also a homeowner's responsibility and is not warrantable. Be aware that unplanted yards can wash out with one rainfall. Please review the established drainage of your home carefully at your Orientation Walk, so you can maintain them properly.
Condensation forms on windows when the temperature of the frame and glass drops below the dew-point temperature as it related to the humidity in your home. This can occur frequently when the outside temperatures colder than the inside. Such condensation of moisture does not indicate a faulty window.
It is normal for bricks to show some mortar stain and repeated cleaning of brick may actually damage its intended finish. Cracks and chips are also normal occurrences in brick and are not considered a defect of the product
Cracks in concrete (driveways, sidewalks, patio, foundation) are a normal occurrence. These small cracks are cosmetic in nature, and will not impair the intended use of the concrete surfaces. Very rarely do these cracks indicate a construction defect.
