Building process

Establishing a Rock Solid Foundation

Building a new home can seem overwhelming, but we’re breaking it down, and taking you step-by-step through each stage of building your new CastleRock home, so you know exactly what to expect.

Design Your New Home

The first step in building your new home is choosing your selections. We strive to understand your lifestyle and needs, so we can help create a home that suits your family best. We offer thousands of exclusive design options for you to personalize your home the way you’ve always imagined!

1

Pre-Construction Meeting

As your home builder, we’re committed to being there for you throughout the entire process. Before starting construction on your new home, a pre-construction meeting will be set up between you and your Construction Manager. During this meeting, the Construction Manager will review the necessary stages of the home building process and explain what to expect in each of those stages.

2

Homesite Preparation & Foundation

To start, the homesite will be measured, mapped out, and third-party inspected. Following the inspection and plumbing preparation, the foundation of your home is ready to be poured! At this stage, the weather may compromise progress in the construction schedule.

3

Frame, Installs & More Inspections

Once the foundation has been poured, the framing goes up, and the mechanical systems, plumbing, and roof are installed. Every stage of your home is inspected by your Construction Manager, as well as the appropriate inspectors and regulatory agencies. It’s important to note that progress may be stalled while inspections are being scheduled and performed.

4

Pre-Drywall Meeting

During this stage, you will meet with the Construction Team for the first walkthrough of your new home! You’ll get to see the bones of your new home and start visualizing what each room will become. You will also review each selection you made at the beginning of the process. Once approved and inspected by the city, your home is ready for wall insulation and sheetrock install.

5

Drywall, Paint, Cabinets & Countertops

At this stage, the drywall, trim, and paint are substantially completed. Your selections start coming to life as your home is painted, the countertops are set, and the cabinets are installed. Progress! You’ll be able to get a better feel of the layout of your new home and its rooms.

6

Mechanical Trims & Appliances

Next, the HVAC system, plumbing, electrical, and security trim are all complete and the appliances are ordered.

7

Flooring, Finishes & Landscape

Your home is almost finished - you’ve reached the home stretch and the final transformation! The hard flooring and/or carpet are installed, the house receives paint touch up, then fresh sod and landscaping tie it all together. The mirrors and doors are also installed during this stage. Be patient, there are a lot of details to be fine-tuned.

8

New Home Orientation

Congratulations, your CastleRock Home is completed and move-in ready! At this point, it’s important to allow a couple of hours for your Construction Team to go through each detail of your home. You will be shown your new home, inside and out, and as we demonstrate key features of your home and how to maintain them. When your closing day arrives, and all necessary paperwork has been signed, you’ll be able to move into your dream home!
